I am excited to be on the Cedar House Team as the Clinic Manager! 

 

I have been practicing as a doula for over 20 years. I am certified as both a Birth and Postpartum Doula and through this work I have learned that families having babies thrive with stellar support. I have been very lucky to work alongside many wonderful midwives and learned very quickly that midwives are pretty special people who provide amazing support to their clients.  Being in the clinic, helping you and the midwives, adds a whole new element to my current experience and this new role is much more to me than working a fax machine.  

 

I have all kinds of experience and wisdom about pregnancy,childbirth, and newborn care. I absolutely love to teach and have experience teaching childbirth and newborn classes. I am looking forward to bringing the baby group back to the clinic and getting to know you and sharing my experience with you. From tips and tricks to soothing your babies to talking about your experiences as new parents. 

 

I am a mother to one daughter. I was lucky to have the support of midwives when I had her in 2010. 

 

When I am not in the clinic, offering doula support, or being a mother, I am probably in the garden or in my studio making art. Nurturing is very much a part of who I am and this is why I am also an avid gardener and love plants as well as growing and cooking my own food. I am also a fibre artist and create art using wool. I look forward to meeting lots of new families and perhaps seeing some familiar faces too!
